4' x 4' x 1.5' Living Soil Raised Bed:

Living Soil Raised Beds are the ideal way to maximize soil volume for your surface area.

This living soil raised bed kit is made by Grassroots Fabric pots, and is complete with their moisture-lock plastic lining to ensure moisture makes its way into your bed: no more run-off from hydrophobic soil/media! If you don't see a size that will work for you, submit a custom order request and we'll take care of you!

Dimensions: 46"W x 46"L x 1.5"H
(Size is slightly smaller to allow the bed to fit inside a 4x4 tray.)

Our raised beds come with PVC fittings. All you'll need to do is get 1" PVC to complete the setup.

These beds generally will hold up 3-5 years in an outdoor setting, or 5-8 years in an indoor setting.

Steensland Blumat Kit:

This kit provides an easy, fast, and water-saving way to water a 4' x 4' raised bed or garden bed. No timers, batteries, or electricity required! This particular kit is ideal outdoors where more moisture is needed and is especially great for living soil grows where you want the surface to consistently be watered. You can use this kit indoors if adjusted to avoid over-watering.

This system utilizes a Blumat carrot (sensor) to automatically water and monitor the moisture levels in your soil. Water source needs to be 2' above the garden for a gravity system. For a pressure system (faucet or garden hose) simply add a Blumat Pressure Reducer.

Steensland Kit includes:

• 4 Tropf Blumat 5" Sensors
• 20 Feet 3 mm Drip Tube
• 16 Universal Stakes
• 18 Feet Super-Flex 8mm Silicone Tubing
• 2x Blumat Air-purge/Shut Off Valve
• 2x Blumat 8mm tees

What You Might Need (Not included in kit):

• Connection to water source (thru-hull bulkhead fittings for gravity systems, a pressure reducer, or a Blumat pump for larger systems)
• 8mm Supply tube to connect water source to Blumats
• Additional Hold-Down stakes or 3mm tubing
• Fittings (tee's, elbows, couplers, etc.) for custom systems

The Tropf Blumat system is great for watering balcony boxes, planters, hanging baskets, and row crops. Tropf Blumat systems are ideal for plant groupings that require consistent moisture, such as vegetable gardens, bushes, flower beds, grow bags and greenhouse containers. Not only do your plants receive the right amount of water, slow and consistent dripping ensures that your plants receive warmed water, avoiding shock.
