It took me a while before I finally pulled the trigger and decided to buy this “lab-grade kit”, but after hearing Jeff Lowenfels talk about it at a conference, I had to try it out. The results were amazing and gave me an accurate biomass reading. I decided to test out my non living-soil and the results came back much lower than my living soil biomass results! Honestly I can now see why they are saying this is 10% of the cost of an actual lab test because the whole procedure actually felt like it was something a scientist would actually do!
Fantastic high quality drip tape that everyone should use, not like most other conventional drip tapes that only water every 10" or so. This has thousands of micro tiny holes that lets water out throughout the entire length. Also, can be used with or without Blumats, your preference!
“Just finished my first run with Blumats, they are F@#$@# amazing.”
“I LOVE the blumats, they are the only way I can cram my flowering room so full.”
These are super quiet and move the heat around our home very efficiently.
took me a few days to get these dialed in, but once I did, it has been fantastic. I got a chance to prove them, because I had 15 plants, but only 12 cones, so I watered 3 by hand. The ones with the blumats, were at least a third bigger after a couple of weeks. I put my nutrients in a big tote, and the blumats do the rest.
“Loving these BluSoak hoses and so do the worms!!”
Results are amazing, couldn't ask for anything more really. I'm using 1 carrot per 3x3 bed with 16' of the drip tape per bed. I originally tried 10 and 12' but it just wan't enough. The beds are fulllllll of worms...
Low cost and really works! I wouldn't recommend it for systems with lots of sediment to filter out because it's a pain to clean. But as a fail-safe in systems with clean water, it's a great insurance policy.
These make repairing cut hose so easy! Just a few seconds and we're up and running again.
We've tried many different things and this is by far the best. Neem oil sometimes works, sometimes doesn't and leave a oil residue. The non-organic version kill the mites right away but they always seem to quickly come back. Kapow is good but really expensive and not as effective. Same with Green Cleaner and various azomite formulas.
The cap fits nicely and even came with a gasket for a good seal. It appears to be very weatherproof, and sturdy enough for a little abuse. No complaints there. The issue I face is that air does not return into the bottle as water pours out, and eventually, the water flow stops. The 'auto' watering feature is disabled, the only way to correct it would be to manually let pressure in. A larger hose would help resolve this problem.
I never did like the standard black water supply tubing as it's too stiff and not user friendly. So it was a breath of fresh air when I found out there is an alternative. The super supple silicon tubing is the way to go. I purchased a large roll for the 2014 season and installed it on dozens of planters, tubs and pots all round my house. It worked like a charm, I had a fabulous show. It's so easy to use, I simply disconnected it all in minutes rolled it up and stored it for the winter. One other point; it does not appear to have any memory like the black tubing which is an added plus.
I've been using these little watering devices for some time now and they work great. I never have to worry about watering my plants and they (I have many) are thriving. I highly recommend this product.
I'm a biased reviewer because I'm part of this company but that's not why I think this is an amazing product. I wanted to test this to see how long it could keep a razor sharp so I wrote on a calendar when I started using a new razor. After 6 months, it seemed almost as sharp as when it was new and I had visions of getting it to last a year...and almost made it. The last several weeks were really rough though and I had to stop about two weeks short of it lasting the full year. Not quite my goal, but not bad!
