By rotating one large, high velocity stream of water up to 1500 rpms, the AquaHelix uses just 1/2 gpm No weak feeling sprays, misting or luke warm water like other so called “water conserving” nozzles.
How does the AquaHelix feel? After 10 years on the market this is what I've found out ... you will either "love" it or "hate" it. Use the comfort adjusting sleeve in the “UP” position for a wide tingling massage feel or in the “DOWN” position for a narrow focused softer feel. Either setting has the power to rinse the thickest hair while using the least amount of water of any shower nozzle in the world!
Why will I "love" the AquaHelix? 1. Even at the highest pressures you only use 1/2 gallon per minute. 2. It's very powerful with a "tingly" massage feel. 3. Reducing water consumption saves money. 4. It's made in the USA out of anodized aluminum, brass, chrome plated brass, 100% silicone and recycled polypropylene. 5. You feel good about saving our earth's precious resources :).
Why will I "hate" the AquaHelix? 1. It's very powerful with a "tingly" massage feel. 2. If you have low water pressure (< 50psi ) the AquaHelix may perform erratically. 3. Because of the extreme low flow, it takes a while for water temperature changes to be realized. 4. It's only available in a gold body with a black adjuster sleeve. (Sort of like Ford's Model T) 5. When the sleeve is in the wide tingly setting, there is a hole in the middle of the spray pattern.
Special Note. If you are on a well, you will need to set your pump to cut on at 65psi and to cut off at 80psi. If you can't do this, call a plumber, if you can't call a plumber don't buy the AquaHelix, it will perform erratically and you will "hate" it.
