These SolarWorld modules are designed for use in high-voltage and grid-tie applications as well as in large industrial and off-grid applications for 24 or 48 volt battery charging. These modules use 72 five-inch semi-square single-crystalline cells in series behind tempered glass. They feature clear-anodized aluminum frames and a sealed junction box with bypass diodes and Multi-Contact locking connector output cables.
The modules are certified to the stringent safety and design requirements of UL1703 and IEC 61215. All models are currently produced in Camarillo, California.

The Sunmodule SW 175 Mono/P by SolarWorld offers an innovative module concept. The monocrystalline 5” cells lie behind a hardened-glass glazing and are embedded in transparent EVA. The back of the module is sealed with a very high quality Tedlar film. MC connect leads are included to ensure fast, reliable series wiring. At a 3% power tolerance, this module receives at least 97% of its peak wattage. This module also has a high CEC rating of 158.3W.
SolarWorld California was founded in March 2005 and expanded in July 2006 with the acquisition of Shell Solar Industries' solar manufacturing facilities that had been operating in the US since 1977.
