Rams are devices for pumping water solely by means of water-power. The flow and fall of the water powers the pump, driving a portion of this water uphill. This provides a continuous supply of water day after day, year after year, without interruption in service. Given a steady supply of water, a ram is the closest thing to a perpetual motion machine. Since the device does not require electricity, there are no operating costs, making the ram system highly cost efficient. In addition, they are self-starting and require no lubrication or priming.
Davey Rams allow for a maximum fall of 20 ft and a maximum vertical elevation of 100 ft. The 4 sizes all require a minimum fall of 2 feet and a minimum water intake of .75, 1.5, 3, or 6 gpm respectively. To determine water output, multiply the available flow in gallons per minute by the vertical fall in feet. Divide that by the vertical elevation and multiply the result by 0.6.
A complete Information Package or a Video demonstration of the Ram Pump is available for a nominal charge of $3.00 for the package and $10.00 for the video to cover the mailing and duplication costs. This charge may be credited towards the purchase of any Rife Product, including the Davey Ram, the Everlasting Standard Ram, the Universal Heavy Duty Ram and the Pasture Pump.
