Solarnet

Solar Energy Network (Solarnet) is a Kenyan NGO committed to widespread adoption and use of renewable energy resources. With over 200 members derived from renewable energy stakeholders in the region, it works to stimulate broad policy reform and advocates for increased use of renewable energy technologies in appropriate situations. The main vision is to contribute towards poverty alleviation through supporting sustainable rural development by use of renewable resources.

Solarnet works with partners to promote and encourage the use of alternative energy resources as a means of enhancing economic, social and environmental benefits to users. They deliver appropriate renewable energy solutions to East Africa's communities, emphasizing sustainable development outcomes and assisting the Kenyan industry to strengthen its capacity to compete in a global level.
